Hidden beneath the sun

Those sunny afternoons
Push away the shadows of the heart
A field of blooming flowers
Brings color where darkness reigned
The forest so green
Calms the chaos inside
A babbling brook
Washes away the tears

But when the sun goes down
The cold claims its place again
The shadows rise
The darkness reigns
The chaos all around
The tears falling down
