Dearest Reading

Dearest Reading,

I dedicate my time to other worlds,
other lives and other moments.

Sometimes I travel to worlds
with girls just like me,
with girls who thrive like I could be.

They say you can only live one life,
but they are wrong.
I live in Greece with Patroclus and Achilles
and have witnessed one of the greatest loves
Aphrodite has ever known.

I live with Circe
and see how the world
has not changed.

Bravery and selflessness
are often same
according to Tris and Tobias.

And girls like me-
can’t always be,
the people we want to become
but girls like me,
will always be the ones that go beyond and above.

I have witnessed Sky fall in love with the Earth
and witnessed Sky fall out of love
I’ve seen Earth do everything for her children
only to realize they are not the same as her.

If I know anything,
I know I have learned that books
are all tales of truth
because truth is relative anyway .

I dedicate my time to other worlds,
other lives and other moments.

With All My Love,
Olivia Wolfson
