The realisation

Niharika Singh 2006 (Bokaro)

The wave falling against me,
The sand turning frigid for me,
The sun dusking off the negativity within me
Ain't the place I really need?

Neither a palm I'm holding,
Nor a shoulder waiting for me to lean,
Not a person required for adoring me
Ain't the place I found the lost beauty of me?

The bubbles over me blown by the child crossing me,
The slow breeze traversing me,
The seashore, hooting slowly for the imperative progress happening in me
Ain't the place that'll be forever cherished by me?

About this poem

The poem is written by person who while sitting alone at the seashore realises the importance of how important she herself is and she doesn't requires anyone for her happiness to happen.
