The Ode to Trinity

I swear I never wanted no enemies
You were going to be my best friend for infinity
But you lost your mind like a Kennedy

Tried to help you through the hard times
when you befriended me

But after the last one
You pulled a fast one
Unfriended me

How can this be
I stuck to the script
Every line every word
Every verse that was written

I couldn't be more entangled
I was already smitten

I did everything that you spoke from your fork-ed tongue
I held every breath from the depths of my lungs
Not to say things that would cause an upheaval
How was I to know that you held so much evil

Now my heart pounds
To the sound
Of the sequel

I hide my pain
Behind other people

Waiting to feel
That I can mend

While trapped behind the guise of my once kindred friend

Now in her face
I only see yours
I beg for the best
But dread for the worst

Waiting to hear
Those words once again
I don't think that we
Can no longer be friends

As I fall into the void
And my poem finally ends

You got what you wanted
Wish granted it's yours
I just wish I knew
Why it's you I've adored

Why couldn't I
Just let it go
What about you
Did I not know

I'm sorry for sorrow
That caused you to frown
I sorry that I ever
had let you down

Every word that I could
I've already wrote
Every tear every day
I've already choked

Why won't it stop
As the words
To page flow

I need to sleep
But you and I know
That until I find peace
I can't let it go

So I'll just keep to myself
The way that I feel
