Paradise

Nandni Sharma 2005 (Delhi)

The sight of,

Gangtok’s lightning street light,

The mesmerizing Tashi View Point’s daylight and twilight,

The Tsomgo lake’s color changing specialite,

And the nonpareil work on monastries shines as a star bright.

There is a Paradise on the earth.

The paradise where Raju became a gentleman,

where a Colonel turned to a freshman.

The paradise where Barfi was born as a deaf mute man

And where a college was saved by a friends clan.

The traditional Thangka painting is exquisite,

Phagshapa, Sale roti and thukpa are lucious to eat.

Maghe mela is the largest splendid feat,

And the dress of men and women are consummete’.
