Universal Prey

I feel a devil on my back
Breaking and aching soaring down my neck
Seeking a way to put me down
From a throne I do not have
Why have they come?
To tear apart me some
As if they have not already done enough
My spirit is fallen I desire not a world at my feet
Cant you see? I already admit defeat
You have won this round now let me go rest in peace
What more must you take
Its not like we sit around eating steak
Leave my mother be she has already had her heartaches
Test not my family they will break
Scour the earth for some other prey
Look yonder at lives so fake
See who is on your side whence ive gone away
Dont you know I have no power over fate
I was born in this fight
I didnt choose to be here tonight
Had I my way
I would be baking my wedding cake
Living harmoniously dancing the night away
But you came and revealed to me many things
Did I ask for this? No I said no such thing
I didnt seek but I was found
And now im lost my life is not profound
You harvested in my death
And you expect life in the reaping
If I had to guess
You must be dreaming
It makes no sense
To stumble someone then hand them a dress
Here suit up, next thing you know im locked up
Well you had your fun its time to find someone else
To keep you busy or make you happy
I dont even know to whom should I address
How many demons are after me
Maybe its just one playing as many guests
Nonetheless leave me be
I have no sword or shield
Cant you see
The Lords forsaken me
Even in the beginning when I was just a child
My parents cursed held a grudge against empires
Life so strange is no wonder the Lord never came
To take you off my back instead I was lead astray
Crying out as you tore me apart
Its not even the lifeless shame of baring no children to my name
Not a house over my head could crumble my faith
Its the fact that I sought no Father yet still like horses you came
Charging at me what a crying shame
What did I do to deserve this rain
Attacking me as I fall
Rolling over me like iron balls
Was once not enough for years ive taken your stuff
Itching at my soul has hell lost its touch
What more do you need to see what more must you break
Im tired lets end this charade
Youre not angels just demons or its all the same
Just another name to hide by
Nice disguise you can go bye bye
Youve fooled me more than ill pray
As if praying ever made you go away
Its all just a game
Seeing who lasts while others laugh
Sick to me this universe this place
Find something else to entertain
That wickedness stuck in your brains
