Falling Through Blue Skies

Falling Through Blue Skies

A bunch of drinking angels sitting at a bar, no longer paying attention, laughing

Business was never better, humans having turned sweet Earth Heaven, into hot times hell

Though we shall miss the ice that kept lands dry day and night, high speed winds nice

Blowing roofs off the buildings everywhere, makes flying landings ever so much easier

Birds, tiny angels, winging messages of hope, clumsy humans forever dropping the ball

Falling through blue skies, cosmic dust sucked out of space by Earth’s gravity well

All roads leading to hell blocked, mammoth potholes, virtual liquors not worth a damn

Painted on black velvet, real spigots shoved through, flowing fermented dirt and clay

Three faucets, hot and cold running, sometimes stumbling, grapes of wine feeding the third

Prehistoric people got through ice ages, powering future generations, we can do the same
