Demons on the hunt
A promise broken has the deal been unmade?
I scratch the surface of such a temptation
Hoping it will not whisk me into an abomination
How long will I hold the words true to their own
When every fleeting second I yearn to be not alone
Im afraid the skies have shattered
Every demon rushing through forbidden clouds
Like snakes brushing through the grass
Seeking its prey as if it were its last
Am I that mouse lurking about
In a demons house searching for my way out
Sound the alarms I have been spotted
All demons to the front lines this man is awake
Let him not continue this way less he answer his fate
Work the yards let no one escape
Can a mouse get a break
They grab my tail swinging their flails
Leave not a skin on my body unturned
Mercy unknown flesh all ripped from the bones
Blood down my face as they hand me this fate
As I draw my last breath they laugh with their hate
Handing me a thorn to place upon my head
I smile as I wait for lightning to strike them away
Father, these demons forgive them not
For blind are not their ways well aware of whats at stake
Care not shall they say, they have waited long for this day
To bludgeon me to death their hate knows no depth
A debt to be paid ill not have it
These demons lay waste to lives at young age
Forgive them I cant, Jesus’s way, im not of it
All the havoc they wrought cannot be bought
That right reserved for only a humans sake
Blood will not be spared for their pain and filth
Look! The Lamb has gone away and the beasts are left unfilled
Unfortunately for them, stomachs will be left with vile and bile
Knew the way and yet they still
Shed not mercy on mouses so little
My life just a game for them to leave in disarray
When its my turn to play, cats out, snakes..run far away
About this poem
Writing this, reminds me of all the days where I was struct by their hate. Just when I make a deal and promise with the Father, they go out of their way to break it. Rrraaagghhh vengeance one day I will love it.
