A New Creation of Love

The sky
It was beautiful,
The birds were out chirping,
Suddenly...
A clang rattle and bang,
Beauty was higher in the sky,
A dog barking,
A neighbor yelling,
Gun shots,
People were fighting,
But lo!
Birds still chirping
And the sky still in beauty,
The sun in purity,
Beauty froze like
A blue rose.
Beauty smiled like
A new born child.
Beauty sings like
A bird on wings.
Blood to noses,
Fragrance to roses,
The sky saw a lie,
The murder,
The blood shed,
The racket.
The melody of beauty
Dances with
The melody of chaos.
If once does the other smother,
Beauty meets long suffering,
And chaos meets a guilt offering.
They tug on each other
Until forgiveness and repentance
Is seeded into a new creation of love
Like a blooming red rose
That rises above chaos in still beauty.
