Empty Ocean

It is an unfortunate reality that I report my recent attraction -which is defined in one of my latest poems as, diamond of my ocean- one that I have lost. Not lost as if it cannot be found, but rejection.  I find myself daydreaming of her reflection of what the prospect may have led to but now I am left with the image that anything I once imagined is left  occurring for another man.
I’ll be that friendly decoration watching from afar.
Yet let me describe to you rejection so that you may know when it is about to arrive.
I’ve first noticed a one sided effort
Conversation exists though, do not be a fool because friends have dialogues as well.  
Friendship was not the goal.
You may receive signs of interest in the sense she is thinking about you, but if there is a lack of verbal affirmation, then it is best not to assume.
I suppose, the worst feeling of all, was that the interest that was given in the end did not surpass friendship, despite all my efforts, all my show of attractions, all my romantic compliments, she did not even want to meet me. even friends do that.
