Those Good Old Days

I remember
Those good old days,
When we would love like no other,
When we would tease and laugh,
Smile and giggle,
And life was just okay.
I remember
When we were doing alright.
When I cried,
You’d always be there
To hold me
And rock me gently
To sleep.
And when you
Came to me,
Crying,
Because you’d had a nightmare
Where we were separated
Forever,
Cut off from each other
Forever,
And I remember
Holding you tight,
While you brushed away
Your tears,
And I remember
Whispering softly in your ear,
That our love would keep us together,
Forever,
Yes,
I remember
How life used to be
Back in
Those good old days.
