They Say Death Is A Man...

They say death is a man,
We know him by many names.

Thanatos in Greece,
Letum in Rome,
The Reaper sometimes too.

Some say he used to come to your doorstep, knock on the door,
Some say he used to chat over tea,
Then he'd reap your soul.

Others have a different story though,
For who this is we do not truly know.

They say, he'd visit you in your dreams when your time was near.
Come to your bed when the night was dark and clear.
They said it was quick and painless,
People said you'd just die in a beat.

They said this man would guide through an endless escapade.
For when your time had come there was truly no escape.
