Decisions To Make Them
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Living to make,
One's own decisions.
Done with mistakes,
To face.
And not afraid to say them made?
Is an experience,
Few become to realize and accept...
There had been no one else,
Running to help them...
Relying upon delusions.
To enable them to escape,
From truth and the obstacles of reality.
With a doing that proves,
Fingers crossed and eyes kept closed...
Seldom opens doors to fantasy land.
Fictioned the way they envisioned it!
Or told to believe,
Life to live is a bowl of cherries.
Pitless without chewing,
On something sour to disappoint...
Their everyday to live painless life.
Nor Is the chasing after rainbows.
To discover this found to find,
That smell of scented flowers...
Had first been nourished,
By a lot of manure to endure it.
And this to awaken,
With a consciousness to realize?
Does wonders for a mind,
Deciding to leave behind...
Recommendations and suggestions,
As to...
How they should think.
What should should.
And when and where the air is clear.
To live a life,
Guaranteed to be free of B.S.
The only thing living life guarantees,
Is the learning of something...
Not to have known before!
If one's objective is to live,
To correct mistakes made.
And moving on away from denial.
Although this process,
Maybe a lonely effort to endeavor...
Those fruits of wisdom eventually shared!
With others disbelieving,
The pits they remain to sit in...
Ultimately in time with kept faith,
Becomes delicious juice to the taste!
'Not to be discouraging.
But...
How long have you been awaiting,
For a message from God?'
'All my life.
I have either been on my knees,
Or just here sitting.'
'And...uh...
Where is your faith?'
'My faith?
My faith stays with me!'
'I see that.
And...
If you don't mind me asking,
When was the last time you moved.
With your faith to use?
Spiritually speaking.'
'Huh?
What has that got to do with my faith?
And belief in God?"
'I apologize.
You're right.
Politics and marketed religion,
Is an argument,
No one wins.'
'What?'
'Afterall...
Who am I to question your decisions?
Or beliefs to keep them to yourself.
We all are products,
Of our thought process.'
'Huh?'
'Forgive me.
At times I talk too outloud to myself.
Only to achieve my own understanding.'
'I use to do the same thing.'
'Oh?'
'Yeah.
Until I woke up one day,
With no one willing,
To loan me money to pay for my weed!'
'Well...
I don't smoke dope or drink alcohol.'
'And you talk to yourself like that?
I'll stay where I am.
With a wishing you the best of luck.'
'I...
What more can I say?'
'Thank you.
To move on and leave me alone!'
