Butterfly

Tiesha Hanks 1988 (Tyler Texas)

My heart trapped in isolation
Cocooned long transformation
Through many stages of love Ive traveled
Through many stages of change I've handled
I never thought the pieces would mend
My wings are growing development begins
Sometimes it's easier to just give up
I rather care and laugh a bunch
Not fully healed but getting there
Waiting for my chance, it's only fair
A hard, strong, dependable lover
All that I am, for no one to put under
So unselfish, so forgiving
I am a giver, so fulfilling
Long, hard, I've grown tired
Lost precision for love, lost reason to inspire
Some days all I can do is smile
Sooner or later it will be worth while
Yearning for my shell to break
To take flight on my wings I take
The sunshine and glory fully glowing
Truly happy, truly showing. -Tie

Something very near and dear to me. Something I wrote going through relationships and well as my own transformation of growth.
