Stay, Or, Go

When you don’t want to go,
But you don’t want to stay.
When the night is springing,
Yet you're still awake.
The world keeps spinning,
Leaving you in its wake.

Everything will be ok,
The pain is almost over.
But then you're pulled under,
Another powerful wave.

Square up to the pain,
Seeing sadness come along,
Anger sets in,
Knowing you’ll lose.
Walking away,
From your impenetrable foes.

Hiding the tears,
With a fake smile,
Going to public,
With nobody to notice

Having no one to care,
None to see,
That you are dying inside,
Trying not to weep.

Crying, before you sleep,
Just needing someone to ask,
Do you want to go,
Or do you want to stay?
