That place in my mind

Familiar smells, a faraway look
we come to this place again

I whisper that I should have known you
And you look at me with a sad kind of smile
Does the hour grow late or is it just right?

I should have seen the light in your eyes, heard the quiet voice in the air
You waited a long time for me to notice you
Was I blind or just drowning in the sea of life?

I say it is time for a new beginning
And you look at me as if I am your saving grace
Can we piece the puzzle together or are we destined to walk alone?

That place in my mind is still there
But I am no longer alone, you are there with me and everything is wonderful
