The second girl I loved. Her name was Deana Lyons she was cute and pretty. She was the first girl I had wanted to ask out . I was 14 and painfully shy she was blond and her father was a bear of a man. I was poor kid who lived across the river. I asked her with the most direct voice would she please go out with me. She laughed and said no. I was so hurt I didn't know how to react. I got home I told no one how hurt I felt. I was alone so I cried because I didn't understand how girl could be so mean.  I was a poor 14 old how would you feel?
