Oh Violin

Faith Embleton 1949 (Canada)

Your melody is so sweet.
You have captured the sound of life
And that of wind that once grew at your feet.

In your wood, the sound of life is within you.
I hear the sound of happiness through and through

Play your melody: It makes me dance
I can pretend i am in Italy or France

Your sound it echo's in my mind
It lifts my spirit and chills me and is felt in my spine

You make me feel wild and free
Like there is no other just like me.

Oh Violin you are so sweet.
I must proclaim i am mesmerized and in your defeat

You have thrilled me and moved me oh so deep
I cannot help but dance and weep.
Oh Viloin!
