Beautiful Storm

When my soul has died, and there's nothing left
I'd save you, and give you my last breath
The trees begin to rot in this weather
And I can't put the pieces back together
At times like this, I turn to you
But, right now, that's impossible to do
In this storm I can't be freed
It's a whole different breed
You've always been the strongest person I know
But, seeing you like this kills my soul
Pretty soon you will be called home
But, don't be scared you wont be alone
You are still strong and God needs you
He needs the good you can do
I will see you shine again one day
When the storm clouds aren't so gray
The rain moves upon this ground
And inside my chest, there's no sound
The pounding storm shatters the silence
And in the dark my chest is tense
I just wanted to whisper my love to you
I would scream but, my vocals are restricted too
Mom, if you wanted to walk in the sun, I will hold your hand
I'd even carry you across the sand
You've been my everything forever
And you've always held me no matter the weather
But, if you need to go, I understand
And, I would gladly give God your hand
