Him

KG 1982 (Michigan)

The Selsun Blue bottle

The receipt he kept in his wallet

The trash can of tissues

His face as it turned red

The door too bent to close again

Midnight

The conversation i never should have found

Fleeing as he called the cops

My dog barking wildly and chasing me

The shame he made me feel

Being misunderstood

The picture he painted to everyone else

Knowing he would trigger me to make it come true

Excluding me on the decisions in our lives

Telling me no to the sweets i thought i could have

The pushing me to be more than i was allowing myself to be

The adoration that turned into resenting tolerance

Breaking away from me over and over

Only to take it all back again and again

The crying when he wasn't really sorry

The looking right through me

The hopeful tears as he got advice on what to do next
