For you

Tonight I lie awaiting your love
The kind I know will not perish
From the snowy mountain to the grassy hill
To the bright lights shining in Paris
We are forever
I know this is true
How can it not be?
Is it for you?
Why we were brought together
I do not yet know
But I promise to alleviate
The love I cannot yet show
I am for you as you are for me
Like the tide from an ocean wave
As it knocks against the pounding breeze
