American Way Of Life

Does it really matter,
Who cheats, lies and deceives?
Do we not feel it's our obligation,
To defend our way of privileged lives.
Pledging an allegiance,
To a living to receive entitlements.
As if a birthright.
Kept for the rest of our self-centered lives.

And...
Done to perceive it to believe,
We are owed a doing as we please.
To then have the nerve to criticize,
Who has the audacity to do...
Whatever they chose.
Daring this without receiving,
Neither our acceptance nor approval!
