Gratitude

A peek outside is a song for my heart
The beetles, flies, and bees along their hives
The peaches, limes, the trees are strong and sharp
What meets the eye is how the nature thrives

Society callously belittles you
Although your flaws not stating your true worth
Be ice or drought, your share of blame is due
Your gem and jewel is even now unearthed

But cursed you shall be, being still destroyed (crumble)
By us the mankind, which you still endure
But I would thank you, for a life not devoid
Of boom and bust, ill health and every cure

Have we not strayed away from what you say?
One day will you again display your way?
