MY PAST

Munemune Ebitimi Arthur

If l could paint
On the canvas of time
Traveling down the day
The memoirs of my past

But l come under constraint
Lost the voice of rhymes
Meandering the crooked way
Torturing my feet not to last

Memoirs of hope faint
Fizzled out of the nighttimes
Glowing out into wobbling sway
Viewing the loud contrast

The times of memoir taint
The joy of the chimes
Springing up on the hooray
Quieting the world of my past
