I’m down to the bottom
Of my naked beauty
Again going circles
From my way of to be.

My skin is still white, my skin is still black
A few things I know
But not how to go back
To love myself.

Beauty is ephemeral,
But that I didn’t know
I wanted to be like others
Far away from my own.

Forever myself I’ll be
Independent of them,
From friends and enemies

Yet a way to escape
