Remember Me

Remember me
With smiles, not tears
For all the joy through the years
Recall the closeness that was ours
Don’t dwell on thoughts that cause you pain,
We we’ll see each other again someday.
I'm at piece, try to believe.
It was my time, I had to leave,
But what a view I have from here...i see your face,
I feel you near I follow you through
Miss me little, but let me go!

About this poem

I am 35 years old and live in a nursing home that is5 hours away from home. I don't get to see my family that much so my old room-mate who was in her early 80's i adopted her as my 'Grandmie'. Just this month she went to be with the Lord so I wrote this poem about how she would want us to Remember Her.
