Maxwell's Aether

A scientist went a tripping and a floundering
in Einsteins conceptual sea
and all the arguments were left
to be considered in probable uncertainty
theirs to encounter
the parched throat of commonsense
sucked down by gravity
there were no spirits
the was no physics
and mathematics is still rewriting the book of genesis

And now we are lost
in debatable points
of meaningless but has some tangible effect
and mechanical distortions
to recreate and disconnect entanglement
in our quantum separations
we just don't understand
we only fear
the neurons trick
this explanation of existence
these foundations of it's science
standing on a matchstick

And the science machine keeps on churning out
an accidental butter-mound known as life
while the fragmented universe
they fill with doubt
chemical strands have no cognizance
and yes DNA is just one more
of it's accidents
we're scurrying around seeking out some sense
and the scientists are offering us
their version of their marvelous
it's all going to end life-insurance
there were no spirits
the was no physics
and mathematics is still rewriting the book of genesis

And although the sun is warm
it's still shines in the cold light of day
and we must learn to follow
what ever the scientific ego's say
but to their chagrin and much to their surprise
the whole of creation is so perfectly organized
but it's just a motor
comprised of all its separate parts
still the whole thing doesn't function
the way we predicted that it would
but it should
it's mathematically impossible
to find the trees inside the wood
we just don't understand
we only fear
the neurons trick
this explanation of existence
these foundations of it's science
standing on a matchstick
