HUMANITY TODAY

Humanity is dying and it needs to be saved
Lack of sympathy is causing our ability for kindness to be strained.
Why did our beautiful and loving hearts get changed?
Everyone is scarred, bruised, hurt and pained.
Everyone’s trust to be treated kindly has been at some point betrayed.
Being part of the society today makes me feel unbelievably ashamed.
How badly we treat each other cannot be portraid. All the words we use create deep cuts like a cold and sharp blade.
Something obvious yet clearly ignored I just have to state. yes, humanity needs to be obtained.
sympathy in our hearts needs to grow so humanity can be prevailed. I hope soon awareness can be raised so that a good path for the future generations can be paved.
because the current humanity state has unfortunately deeply and utterly failed

About this poem

a situation that i landed in a couple of days ago made me question the ability of 'being human' (emotionally not biologically) in people today. so I decided to write about my concern about humanity today.
