Amnesia

Maurice Wade 1991 (cheyenne)

I think it hurts sometime laying on the dark. Sometimes these dreams, they fade away. They lose a mark.
One day we'll understand something's can never be.
We want the greener side but see it's dropping leaves.

The change in season, the changing lanes to find an avenue.
On the road to take the highway, where to travel to?
What lies a head, steady going with no rendezvous.
Steady thinking of the future, skip the rearview.

No sense in wondering, like who can go back?
No time for reminiscing, living in a flashback.
Amnesiac,
Guess I will go with that.
Mind erase because I'm not for the feedback.

From the thoughts that I fought, put my life in shock.
A tight lock what it brought made my heart stop...
from caring...
Notice I can see the hardening.
My own soul, maybe I just need a blessing.
