wounded

كوثر 2000 (Cape Town)

My body is an open wound incapable of healing.

arms like creeping vibes wrapped around my orchids of bruised nectarines.
i was -
built with an insatiable desire to feel something, anything.

you crucified me to the edges of everything I've touched to be close to you…
this blood stained perfume cannot be concealed with the warped words of my love for You.

i followed you without hesitation into the gaping archway of a burnt out carcass, mine. And i kissed the ground you walked on
whilst I lay beneath it.
