Terror

Sorrow filled drops of tears
Of a Child who was never seen as perfect,
Drip on the ground
Of a world so badly battered,
Ravaged by her children
The misguided breed called man

Gospels of horrendous mental pictures,
 of eternal damnation
Infinite degrees of torture
In one boundless infernal lake,
Children like him have suffered bigger
At the hands of them who preach faith,
Inspiring terror,
Masquerading as agents of truth

They claim forces of eternal love
But work to exclude their hearts from it
Those innocent souls they haul,
to their rotten destiny
And pity clings heavily,
On desperate spirits who follow blindly

How I wish you never preached terror
But who am I to even wonder?

Cursed be the inquisitive you say
But blessed be the tattered hearts that stay
Digging for the love in the darkness you've cast
Upon a planet who nurtured
your beings to old age
Your gospels of fear can only generate
 Vileness, your true intention!
