Time to let go

Amanda Bowyer 1989 (PA)

Not everything in life is in black or white
sometimes you have to wakeup and see the light
Take whatever is thrown your way
because at the end of the day I will be okay
My heart has been broken into pieces
which I pray that decreases
Never settle for anything less
or my life will be a big mess
Now that I know my worth
shows my structure and girth
Even when I'm running thin
I will always be there to win
It won't always be that great
but maybe that was my fate
Been through to much to give up this fight
so I'll close my eyes and be alright
Now it's in Gods hands
I'll see where my life lands
I'm giving up on all that I fear
because now it's all so clear
Victory is near
when I am there i will cheer
To all who has seen me at my worst
will now see me put myself first
Here is to my future life
I will someday make a beautiful wife
Letting go of my horrible past
finally at last
Time to tuck away all this pain
nothing else to explain

About this poem

I have been through so much pain in many years that have came and gone. Today I let go of all the hurt and anger and I'm doing what's best for me for once. Letting go and moving on.
