Proof

Michael R. Matalon 1973 (New York)

What intelligence
exists in our genes
that give them orders
to build these machines?

Just think about thinking
and imagine your mind.
Be honest with your thoughts,
there's a proof you will find.

There is a wisdom
we all share,
a single consciousness
in the air,
that tells us the answer of
why we are here.

About this poem

There is a wisdom built into the universe, a system built by a combination of order and chaos. Some call it God, some call it nature, some call it chance. Whatever the case, we are all bound by it and to it, a wisdom that runs deep.
