Bars

There are bars.
Entrapping me, entangling me excluding me from the outside
There are bars.
Containing me, constricting me, consuming me
I swear these walls get closer every day.
Till up topples down and left turns right
I sit here, never knowing my way through them
I just want out.
This cell
This museum
The opening was for me, these eyes on me
But see your slime left streaks on my face
Left parts of my pigment -
I just want out, please, I just want
Stuck, I'm stuck, these bars enclose elbows
Undertaking my stride, stuck, stuck in place,
How these bars encapsulate what it is to be here
Here as in, between metal, between moons,
Here as in, no, I’m trying but I’m stuck
Here as in,
