It’s Morning!

The beam penetrated through the ajar window, and the curtains glided along the edges.
Her flabby cheeks and milk blanket were covered by the gleam, which shone like gold.
Her tanned face was soon buried in the pillow once again, ignoring her aesthetically dispersed space, which remained like that.
The contrasting hues of the wall and ceiling added to the room. The young woman had managed to put her personal belongings into this enclosed building. But she is an aesthete, so in an attempt to mend the view she added an array of succulent plants and a pair of burgundy rubber trees near the kitchen window.

She finely smothered her bedsheet, rattling over it all night and all that survived were the knots and tangles for the vivid morning.
Collecting all her nerves and flesh together, she turned away from the choked pillow, whistled, and twinkled her eyes with the great morning yawn.
Her blanket wedged under her thighs and wrinkles were all over her T-shirt, she steadily rose her arms high and went back giving her body a beautiful arc.
A cold breeze fell over her entangled hair and she scratched her head from right to left. She moved away from the bliss of sleep and withdrew from the latter's contentment, approaching her feet on the warm summer floor, she set herself on her feet.
Slowly she marched to the shower, mesmerized in her thoughts of the dream she hovered.
Careless of what the day had in store for her, she turned on the music in celebration of her glorious morning.

About this poem

The poem is about a mediocre morning but with some not-so-conventional feelings. It is a marvelous observation of the simplicity that lies all around us and how we remarkably fail to acknowledge it. Nonetheless, this poem rejuvenates the essence of the present moments and their livelihood.
