Lover Like the Green

Did it ever catch your sight, the way leaves let raindrops drip through them?

Soaked through slowly,

Kissing and catching every part of her,

Holding drops as if it’d never let her go.

But then comes another raindrop washing the foregoing.

The green isn’t heavy-eyed,

Rather he tries to hold every drop, every season

Adamant like a child, holding your index finger

He could never have enough of the sprinkle.

The soil starts to perfume the locals, to welcome her.

And, so as a last resort, the rain comes to the green,

Gracefully, solely, giving her all to him

He made her spoiled with love,

So the rain loves very few, and if you are one of them

Cherish her my love.

As she might wonder soon, asking

“Have you ever seen a lover like green?”
