War

Day after day I end the war
And everyday I put down my blade
But that sword rises once more

I carry on tired and sore
And every passing hour I fade
Day after day, I end the war

Between my hands lies the claymore
And with it another is slayed,
But that sword rises once more

I cannot remember my life before
When I was young and unswayed
Day after day I end the war

My life is filled with blood and gore
And every day a life is paid
But that sword rises once more

Every second of peace I long for
Only continues to be betrayed
Day after day I end the war
But that sword rises once more
