So peaceful and gay
Maybe blue, maybe turquoise
The lake carved in clay
Roughly dug by bulldozers

To stand and to glide
On its shallows uneven
To swim and to dive
On a warm August evening

The summer is done
And forgotten like fossils
The last beam of sun’s
Falling down on my nostrils
