A predator in my sleep

Luis Sylvestre Torres 1980 (Springfield,mass)

This beast.
I could not move nor breathe the least.
Under a cover frozen with fear my conscience fought the trembling for it will find me then.
And do what really?

All I realize is people are subdued somehow fatally.
It's dark shape is snarling and the heat seeking vision is almost to give into.
Is there escape?
I must hide and cover my body heat, be still and remain stiff silent for it is always lurking.

This world is hunted by it completely.
There are only small amounts of sunshine in this world that I dream.
Grey cloud dreary.
This thing is trying to keep me.
