The Good Girl

There once was a girl,
Who had a big sad.

She grew and she learned,
How to be glad.

When The World came down on her,
She knew it was bad.

But she kept pushing forward,
And never got mad.

"Good girl", said The World to the girl,
As she smiled in plaid.

"Don't show struggle," said The World,
"must follow that fad".

Nod and smile, the girl did wonder,
If she can feel mad.

Can she be brave, can she speak up,
Considering how bad?

Silence is the way, silenced she will stay,
Good girl, even when sad.
