Bring Australia Home.

Bring Australia home!

The rules are changing fast,
They expect us to obey,
But how to follow rules
That change from day to day?
Like puppets on a string,
That someone has to guide
They're the leader of Australia
And are meant to have more pride.
Work and learn from home they say,
Don't forget the social distance
The consequence is pay a fine
If we want to show resistance.
Communities separating
lives turned upside down,
And while we isolate ourselves
They rid Australia of her crown?
Let's get one thing straight
Before we follow every word,
As trust is needed mostly here
As this change has been absurd.
While we divide and isolate
our country is in their hand
To divide us we may fall
But as a country we still stand.
Australia may have changed
But the people remain the same
So if our country falls apart
We know just who to blame.
We have pride in our homeland,
They can bring Australia home,
So we can live our lives again
In a country, free to roam.
Not one made in China
Not a country pushed aside
But a country we call home
And a leader with Aussie pride.
Stay home we keep each other safe
More time for family too,
We have to keep this virus away
As it seems it stick like glue.
So when you touch a surface
Twenty seconds, wash your hand
Sneeze or cough into your elbow,
That tape marks where you stand.
No more than two people together
family or functions can have more
makes me feel uncertain
If they even know for sure.
As we learn a different way to live
I hope we all stay strong
Then wake up from this nightmare
In the country, we belong.
We will stand as one again
Not isolate or divide
All of us, as proud can be
Because we still have Aussie pride.
