Dedication, Twenty Years Later

It's been 20 years.
Since the Towers fell.
Enemies determined.
To send our country to Hell.
Tears and rage.
Fear and courage.
All comes together.
For the men and women.
Who were brave.
And now lay in graves.
The angels still sigh.
And now there's blue skies.
To all who gave their lives.
Thank you for your sacrifice.
We still don't have peace.
At least the war has ceased.
Our country is still diseased.
Will we ever find relief.
From that fateful day.
Twenty years ago they now lay.

About this poem
I wrote this last night in about 5 minutes on the anniversary of 09/11. This is a secondary poem to the original "Dedication" which I wrote on 09/11/2001 that was published here.
