US.

The existential loneliness
An extraterrestrial feeling
Shaken and separated
A world reeling

The emptiness filled
All purified air
The creatures abound
Earth again shared

All left unentertained
All left thinking
Demons enter souls
An inevitable sinking

Governing bodies calm
Heavenly rises drop
An impending doom
Maybe full stop?

All over again
Another wave crashes
Can we learn
Rise from ashes

Tomorrow not known
Today barely here
Yesterday we tried
Maybe next year

Sealed or susceptible
Planet left unsure
Risk more angels?
Slam the door

Now open-ended
Examinations still remain
What once was
Or improved way
