Waiting for the call

what do you learn as  you age,
anything can happen, nothing is permanent,
all emotions change, life flows and there is no surprise!
Prepared and accepting of all that comes our way.
Tears are hard to flow and smile is reluctant and slow.
Winds and hurricanes can blow ,
surely it will pass we know,
so witnessing all waiting for the call
serene and calm we stand on the shore.
welcome maturity and old age
it is so soothing and finally no bondage.
