Holding on

Does a willow not weep
A fire not burn
Life's a crumbling mess
For peace I yearn.

Nothing seems real
Nothing seems right
No passion, no drive
Barely holding on to the light

Will somebody save me?
Can I have a helping hand?
Does anyone even see me?
Do I perish where I stand?

I doubt the sincerity
For those saying it's okay
I dont think anyone
Really wants me to stay

I scream and I yell
From the depths of my soul
Depression wants one thing
For me to let go

I dont want to live
But I dont want to die
Buried in this misery and pain
I'm reduced to just cry

Will I ever be okay?
Will this feeling ever fade?
Will there be a happy ending,
If I sucked it up and just stayed?

I guess I'll find out
Even if it's not now
I'll fight and I'll fight
The best way I know how.

I will find solice
In my kids, family and friends
I'll be damned to find the day
That depression wins
