Struggles

I struggle every day to fit in, find a place to belong,
I struggle every night to find peace when I sleep,
Every morning, I wake up and wonder is today the day
   for a new song,
Every night, I pray to God my soul to keep.

Every day of my life, I am faced with new things,
Each night, I try my best to put those things to rest.
Every morning, I wake and think will I be the one for
    who joy brings,
At night, I go to sleep with people me, "You'll never
    pass the test."

Every day of my life I am asking, 'Why am I here?,'
Every night, I lay down with even more doubts on my
    mind,
Every morning, I wake up with those same doubts and
   even more fear.
Every night, I go to sleep feeling like I am just a waste
   of space and time.

Every day of my life, I've been told that there is a
    purpose for us all,
Every night, I say tomorrow will be better than today!
Every morning, I now rise with determination to stand
    big and tall,
Every night, those doubts come back and once again I
hear, "Girl you are only in the way!"

Every day of my life, I have felt that I wasn't good
   enough,
Every night I go to sleep feeling , praying, and hoping
   that I am such.
The next morning, I wake with the knowledge that I am
weak and will never be tough,
The next night, I go to sleep wondering why am I
   disliked so much.

Every day of my life, I hope there is someone who likes
    me,
But then at night, I go to sleep knowing that I'll never
    belong.
Every morning, I wake up and ask is today the day I'll
    see,
But once again, I go to sleep with people telling me
    everything I do is wrong.

Every day of my life, I know I'm lucky to have the gift of
    life and love,
Every night, I go to sleep trying not to forget my gift as
    such,
So every morning, I wake up to a new day of love from
   above,
And now every night, I go to sleep and say to myself, "I
am loved and liked very much!"
