Discovering Forgiveness

Self forgiveness is not often,
Thought important done to do.
But so untrue,
Such a belief to keep is.

If one can ask to be forgiven,
To know a wrong to have committed.
Yet can admit what they did,
Had been unnecessary?
Perhaps that is way,
Many continue to apologize.

Yet...
Not for what they did to do to others.
But for being caught.
Lieing to themselves.
In total and complete,
Habitual self deception.
Refusing to accept denial is a curse!
