The Wait

Paul Weaver 1964 (Virginia)

Sitting in a cool evening wind.
I wonder how it is not to be lonely.
When being alone is mostly what i know.
Hoping one day to meet her and know love.
Wishing it was yesterday or the day before.
No I'm not perfect we all sin.
Just to be in love would be lovely.
As i look up to the sky i see a crow.
A crow i always see never the dove.
Alone a game of life seeking a high score.
Over and over but very hard to get a win.
Most people play but not much luck sadly.
Winning in love that is something to know.
Some try their whole life no luck in love.
Being alone makes you need her touch more.
When we find that special love we just blend.
The blending of love in two souls is lovely.
Lonely now melted as the sun melts snow.
Growing old is great when in love.
