An Accident In Paradise

Desire creeps past,
tumultuous, uninhibited desire,
that which seeps into the skin
corroding the very soul.
It creeps past the unrelenting darkness,
marred by a seething compulsion,
to scathe an innocent bystander.
Innocence creeps further.
Lost in a whirlwind of passion,
a passion which evades the emotions,
and becomes the desire.
It is this very desire we want.
We want it in the worst way and the best way
Desire hungered for
in the ominous ecstasy of dusk and the
fleeting release of dawn.
Desire consumes us,
and out precipitates the jaded shell
of what once was enough to be content in
paradise, but is now smitten by greed...
