Absolution

Vincent Parker 1948 (South Ozone Park, NY)

Free verse
Outstanding the lore of the wild calls
sitting and waiting for the break of dawn.
Taking on thoughts, excuses and all.

Twisted as black as this night
resisting the notion of wrong or right
stare-ing into the lonesome no more

Quietly the light blossoms, softly as
fall, sweeping the morning sky and
no excuses, no , none at all
